My name is Zeus. I’m a 20-year-old Thoroughbred, one of the original 15 pulled from the auction kill pen, and somewhere deep in my bloodline runs the legacy of Secretariat himself, I’m his grandson. Maybe that’s where I get my love for running. Some things are simply born into a horse. I’m not the loudest leader in the herd. I don’t need to be. The others follow me because they trust me, and because calm strength speaks louder than chaos ever could. I carry myself quietly, but when I move, the ground tends to notice. There’s still thunder in these legs when I decide to run, and for a few moments, age disappears into the wind. Despite my size and presence, I’m really just a big dog at heart. I like my people, enjoy quiet companionship, and would rather stand beside you peacefully than make a fuss. Health-wise, I’ve been fortunate overall. The only real battle I fight is against mosquitoes and flies… those little pests are my sworn enemies. Bug bites bother me far more than they should, so the humans help keep me comfortable during bug season. As for training, I’d need someone willing to start from the ground up to properly understand what I know and rebuild from there. There’s knowledge in me, but it deserves patience, respect, and a steady hand. I’m currently available for adoption to the right home.
