Hello, I’m Willow. I’m an 11-year-old donkey, and I came from the auction kill pen in 2019 alongside Fiona. We’ve been together ever since. Humans aren’t completely sure if she’s my mother or my sister, but either way… she’s my donkey. I don’t really go anywhere without her, and honestly, I like it that way. I’m a quiet, gentle kind of soul most of the time. I love soft ear scratches, and one of my favorite things is when someone gently holds my head and just stays with me for a moment. It makes me feel safe. The humans say I’m sweet 99% of the time… which means every now and then I still like to remind everyone that I am a donkey with opinions. These days, life is pretty peaceful. I’m a little fluffy around the edges and could probably stand to lose a bit of weight, but I enjoy my snacks and sunshine a little too much sometimes. Like many donkeys, I’m prone to white line issues, so regular hoof trims are important to keep me comfortable and healthy. I’m perfectly happy living the pasture pet life, spending my days beside Fiona, soaking up attention from kind people, and enjoying the quiet safety of sanctuary life.
