Well, howdy, partner. Name’s Ruger, and I’m a 12-year-old Quarter Horse with a whole lotta personality packed into one good-lookin’ cowboy horse. I was one of the original 15 pulled from the auction back in 2019 and let me tell ya… when I first showed up, I was wild as the wind and didn’t trust much of anybody. Folks called me completely feral, and honestly, they weren’t wrong. But somewhere along the trail, I figured out people ain’t all bad. These days, I’ve turned into one of the rescue’s most reliable off-property ambassadors. Hook me up and point me down the road and I’ll represent the rescue proud. Now, I may be carryin’ a few extra pounds these days, and I’ve got a suspensory issue that likes to remind me I’m not a young colt anymore. The humans say losing some weight and gettin’ back into better condition could really help keep me comfortable and movin’ strong. I still need some additional training and conditioning, but I’ve got plenty of try left in me. I'm currently unavailable for sponsorship or adoption.
