Name’s Huckleberry… Huck, if you’re on friendly terms. I’m a cow horse gelding in my mid-20s, which means I’ve seen plenty, done most of it, and don’t feel the need to prove a thing. I came out of the slaughter auction in April of 2025. Not my first stop, but I landed on my feet, and that counts. I’ve got a healthy appreciation for grain (okay, love might be the better word), and when people are around, I like to know what’s going on. I won’t crowd you, but I’ll be watching, quiet, curious, and pretending I don’t care as much as I do. I’ve got a recurring eye infection that needs keeping an eye on, and a recent discovery of potential glaucoma in the other eye. The vet and humans are keeping an eye on it and are waiting for tests. I stay on grain through the winter to keep my weight where it should be. No drama about it, just part of the maintenance plan. I cooperate just fine with the food bit. I was a ranch horse once. The kind that gets the job done without needing applause. These days, I’m taking it easy. I came in underweight, so no one’s asked much of me yet, and honestly, I’m okay with that. I’ve earned a little time to just be. I am not available currently because of the evaluation on my eyes. Though, I am not sponsored yet, in case you like being first and helping my journey. I’m not flashy or loud, but I’m solid, steady, and quietly interested in what comes next… as long as there’s grain involved.
