Zain

I'm Available
to Adopt or Sponsor!
Hi… my name is Zain. I’m a 14-year-old Saddlebred/Arabian cross, and I came from the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s seizure in November 2025. People usually notice how I carry myself first. I hold my head high and my tail up like a typical Arabian, and sometimes the humans say I strike “stunning poses” without even trying. I guess part of me still remembers how to be noticed. I was said to have done shows and light riding before everything changed. I’m very smart... maybe a little too smart sometimes. I pay attention to everything around me, and I feel safest when I have a buddy nearby. Being alone makes me nervous. Truthfully… a lot of things still make me nervous. I want to trust people, I really do, but sometimes fear gets there first. When I arrived at the rescue, I was thin with a body score of 2.5, and I’m still on grain and supplements to help my body recover and stay healthy. I also have a club hoof on my front right foot and patches of dermatitis that come and go, so the humans make sure to keep a close eye on me and help me stay comfortable. Underneath all the worry, there’s still a horse in here who wants to learn again. Since I already have experience with riding and handling, the humans think I could really benefit from refresher work and consistency. I try hard when I feel safe enough to relax. I am available for adoption if you’re willing to take it slow and let me decompress when I need it. Sponsorship is also available for me. And maybe, with enough patience and kindness, I’ll keep learning that not every hand reaching toward me is something to fear.
