The humans aren’t entirely sure if I’m her mother or her sister, but whichever one it is, she’s family, and I don’t go anywhere without her. I like knowing she’s close by. I’m a soft-hearted kind of girl who loves cuddles and quiet affection. If you spend enough time around me, you’ll probably notice my tongue sticking out now and then. It’s a little too big for my mouth, so it tends to peek out all on its own. The humans think it’s adorable, and honestly, I don’t mind the extra attention it gets me. For a long time, I stayed pretty quiet, but over the years I’ve started finding my voice more and more. When I have something to say these days, I’m not afraid to say it. Usually, it’s about snacks… or Willow… or both. Like many donkeys, I’m prone to white line issues, so regular hoof care is important for keeping me comfortable. Before I arrived at the rescue, I struggled with being overweight, and my broken crest still shows signs of that today. I also tested borderline for Equine Metabolic Disease, so I need a carefully managed diet to help keep me healthy and feeling my best. These days I’m perfectly content being a pasture pet, spending my time grazing beside Willow, soaking up gentle attention, and enjoying the calm life we both deserve.
