Murphy
Well, hello there. Name’s Murphy, and yes, I am aware that I take up most of the horizon when I walk into a pasture. I’m a 19-year-old Amish-bred Belgian draft, and despite being sent to auction in April of 2025 because the Amish considered me “too small” … I’m still an absolute unit of a horse. Personally, I think they just forgot what normal-sized horses look like. I’m big, powerful, and fully aware of it. When I move, people notice. Mostly because I only come with two speeds: walk… and RUN. There’s no “easy trot” setting installed in this model. If I decide we’re moving, we’re MOVING. Now, because I’m built like a freight train, I need regular hoof trims to keep everything feeling good. And thanks to my Amish upbringing, farrier visits still make me nervous enough that I need dorm to help everybody get through them peacefully. Can’t say I’m a huge fan of being caught either, as I can get a little skittish when people come walking toward me. But once I know things are okay, I settle back into my usual larger-than-life self. Truthfully, I’ve already done my time working, and retirement suits me just fine. I’ve earned my pasture pet status, and these days I prefer soaking up the sunshine, eating snacks, and looking majestic without anybody asking me to haul things around anymore. I’m currently available for adoption to the right home that understands big draft horses and appreciates a retired giant with opinions. Sponsorship isn’t available, but admiration absolutely is.
