Hi!! I’m Archer, and I’m a 10-year-old Missouri Fox Trotter with BIG puppy energy packed into one very large horse body. I came from the second round of auction horses back in 2019, and the humans say I still act like a toddler. Personally, I think life is just more fun that way. I LOVE attention. Like… a lot. If someone else is getting pets, I should probably be getting pets too. I’m super smart, learn really fast, and I even know how to shake with my front leg! Sometimes I forget I’m horse-sized and try to climb into people’s personal space like a tiny lap dog. When I arrived at the rescue, my front right hoof had an old injury that my previous owner had literally held together with roofing staples. Pretty wild, huh? It’s all grown out now and doesn’t bother me anymore, but you can still see where it happened. I’ve been under saddle before and could definitely get back to work with a little consistency and a refresher. Since I’m so smart, I catch on quickly when someone takes the time to work with me. These days, I’m a sanctuaried resident here at the rescue, so I’m staying put here, with my people for good. I’m not available for sponsorship, but I am available for snacks, scratches, and being told I’m handsome, preferably all at the same time.
