Korah arrived in Fall of 2020 and has secured a spot as a farm favorite. She's extremely sweet, and very soft.

Korah was used solely as a broodmare in her time before rescue.

For many reasons, Korah's situation is uniquely sad. Korah has a condition called DSLD, which she was likely born with. The hereditary component of this disease should have been deterrent enough to not pass on the condition to offspring, but sadly she was subjected to many pregnancies. Additionally, the stress and weight gain of pregnancy likely exacerbated this degenerative disease to the severe state we find her in today. Along with the nutritional support she was lacking, we are providing Korah with some specialized care in the form of custom made supports, dietary supplements, and medicines to allow Korah to remain pain free and comfortable.
